CALM. SERENE. PEACE: SPRINGTIME BLUES
/The world has many beautiful colors. It is exciting and intriguing to see how they play a role when the season changes. As a designer in the industry, I understand that specific color trends are fleeting, emerging, and then receding in style as trends shift. Even before becoming a designer, I have stayed true to my authentic style and taste. So, regardless of what is trending, what I desire is what I will always choose. I am passionate about staying true to myself. Many colors were trending for Spring 2025, but I craved the many shades of blue.
Springtime ended on June 20th at 10:42 PM (Northern Hemisphere). However, the magical part about seasonal change is that it is a repetitive process. Moreover, during spring 2025, blue became my signature color, and as a result, I incorporated it within my living room as a stylish decorative piece; there is nothing like a desirable blue, especially when the sun hits it at the right angle. It takes on a hint of purple.
Not only did I crave the calm, serenity, and peace that it brings, but there is nothing like a decorative piece that complements a room and brings an enormous smile to anyone passing by.
I used 192 navy blue hydrangeas and a navy blue tutu to complete the dress—a light blue wrap shirt paired with a spring scarf featuring subtle flowers and butterflies.
Design tip: Incorporate blue into a room to create a sense of ease. It is calming, serene, and, most importantly, peaceful. It eliminates tension and discord.
