THE MERRIEST SEASON OF THE YEAR: CHRISTMASTIME
/When the holiday season starts, I always get hit with the childhood memory bug. I do understand why; my favorite day besides my birthday is Christmastime. I am a child at heart. My parents were the best at capturing the festive holiday season, and they made it so perfect that the memories I have will last forever. It is wild because even when it is not close to the holiday season, if I reminisce, I remember my childhood holidays as if they were yesterday. I still use the purest red and green, which I now call the vintage colors of Christmas, because they were the two most popular.
Moreover, when it came to creating a festive Christmastime theme this year, I already knew which color I would use and had everything together before August. This year, it was easy because I basically had everything I needed, even the massive accents, which were the 48” reindeer, which I bought at the beginning of 2025.
I used my favorite color, red. I visualized a striking, vintage decorative piece as the dominant focal point in my living room, which I could leave up year-round. I did not put any other color on the tree, and the warm lights are glistening through so beautifully. The massive reindeer has the exact shade of red I remember from when I was a child. I bought one, then realized I needed two, and as soon as I purchased the second, they became discontinued. Whew, close call! They are adorned in ornate detailing and dressed in red and green velvet. They are beyond adorable!
From massive poinsettias, various textures and sizes in shatterproof decorative balls, cascade picks, 22" glitter bayleaf sprays, 40mm plastic ball picks, and finial ornaments—everything red, except the warm white lights. I am so glad that I came across these reindeer. They are stylish and statement-making, and they complement my dress well.
I received so many wows, and I was a little wowed myself because it is strikingly gorgeous! Of course, my reindeer and I had to do a Christmastime pose to end 2025 with a bang! Until next year, Merry Christmas!
