DINING ROOM ACCENT: BUFFET STYLING
/The interior walls are complete as the backdrop, the mirror is in place, and it is time to style the massive buffet. There are many ways to style a buffet, but for this round, I will display vases, a piece of decor that I always display throughout my house. Vases are beautiful objects, and the options are limitless in terms of size, style, color, finish, etc. My collection has grown tremulously over the years. However, the beauty of my dining room buffet is one of my favorites.
Moreover, the clean lines of the buffet and the white-and-gold vases beneath suggest a modernist aesthetic in the room. Adding the round vases adds a bit of glamour and shakes things up because boring is never an option. The two long-necked vases add a pop of color and give way to a bit of drama with the dented golden vases. Now, talk about incorporating a hint of wow factor—these spiked lamps are striking! They dominate and complement everything on the buffet, which brings the entire setup together cohesively.
With a significant step completed in my dining room—I still have a long way to go—it's time to move on to the windows. Now, this is another exciting part because windows are an essential architectural feature, and therefore, the fabric's tailor should fit the space's specific needs.
Remember, dining rooms are essential to a house and should be used for their intended purpose, not as catch-alls.
