Here I come, NOLA!

I work a lot and need to pay more attention to my travel plans, but that is about to change. So, I'm at it again because it's been too long, and it's time for another trip. Not just any trip, but the ultimate #girlstrip! However, being a chick who enjoys different cultures and going out of the country, there is nothing like a fresh start for the soul. So, with that said, I am on my way to New Orleans for the 25th Essence Festival. OMG, I am beyond excited because, although I have been to this fantastic city, I have never attended the Essence Festival. I promise it is the best place to visit for fun, parties, events, and culture.

I will officially arrive in New Orleans at approximately 7:50 p.m.

The first stop will be the Le Pavillon Hotel (check-in), and get ready for the Fire & Ice Essence Festival 25th Anniversary Kick-Off Party!

Okay, let me clear up one thing! When my girlfriends and I went to see Girls Trip, they told me which girl from the movie was me. Primarily, Norma J. Hicks is known for trying to be everybody's mother. So, that makes her THE MOM, and I confess I am THE BOSS! As if I did not know. I understand, and I do. Geesh!

Moreover, before the Ultimate Girls Trip begins, here is a quick rundown: as I understand, this is one of the largest annual celebrations in Black culture, encompassing film, television, beauty, fashion, community, activism, politics, and much more. How in the hell have I missed this for so long? I would prefer to see Chris Brown on the list, but I will remain grateful because more than 80 artists will appear on the Main Stage and Super Lounges. Also, I hear Loni Love is hosting, and the lineup is extraordinarily incredible!

Michelle Obama will perform on the main stage at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 6th, 2019, at the Superdome.

Besides exploring what New Orleans has to offer during my stay, the list below outlines the activities I plan to attend, ensuring I make the most of every minute.

1.) Fire & Ice Essence Festival 25th Anniversary Kick-Off Party (Thursday, 7/4/19)
