I hope that it is not just me when it comes to being obsessed with over-sized mirrors because, in some of my rooms, I have more than one. With that said, to the ones who already know me, yes – you already know that I adore looking at myself, but for the ones who do not know me, you now know the main reason. However, I will add additional information to clarify – regardless if I am beyond obsessed with these beauties, I like that mirrors can be placed anywhere and in any room. Now, some would say, except for a kitchen, but it is not an exception because no design rule states this, so remember – it is all about personal preference.

When I refer to over-sized, I mean from floor-to-ceiling, at door height, can lean against a wall, one that will dominate a wall or when placed above a fireplace mantle. What I adore so much about these decorative beauties, is the fact that they can go behind a console table, in hallway, foyer, bathroom, closet, above a fireplace, attached to a ceiling, headboard – or basically in any room to capture the view of a well-designed space. The three main characteristics that mirrors have for me is the fact that they can lighten a room, give way to the illusion of a larger area, and what can I say, they are beyond timeless. So, no matter how styles change when dealing with the interior design world, mirrors will continue to fit within any style or era.

Design Tip: When incorporating a variety of mirrors throughout different rooms, go outside the typical aspects of design, and get crazy creative because this is what makes for an amazingly significant wow factor!

She lives accordingly by her motto: I live – breathe – love interior design.
