CHANDELIER STYLE: TWO IS BETTER THAN ONE

Regardless of the different types of lighting on the market, and I must add that there is a lot, I find myself in trouble when it comes to chandeliers. They are indeed one of my weaknesses. It is as if I fall into a deep fixation when I enter a room because I always expect to see more than one, especially if there is ample ceiling space. However, this post is about two, so the use of two is only appropriate if space allows. Moreover, if there is enough space, and there is just one, then I start to question myself mentally, why am I not seeing another magnificent piece of jewelry hanging?

Regardless, if I am traveling national or international, my hunt for the display of these beauties in a room is an obsession. I will say that with my travels outside of the United States, I have learned, as well as understand why when designing most luxurious spaces, the choice is to incorporate pairing, and why it tends to be a crucial element. Often-times countries such as South Africa and Italy expand to greater lengths when it comes to style. So, I tend to get fantastic inspiration when I travel to another country.

Listed below: Simple Styling Ideas When Pairing Chandeliers.

• Two chandeliers can create symmetry.

• With the correct placement, two lights can define a room from above and balance out the entire space.

• It makes for great design, and the overall design scheme more simplified, especially when trying to combine different types of lighting.

The upside is that chandeliers are considered dominant lighting, which is unlimited as far as style, size, color, shape, texture, and finish. They can add character, interest, and appeal to any room. The downside is that the perception of two chandeliers is not for everyone.

Design Tip: It can be challenging to stray from a standard comfort zone when trying something new. With that said, become creatively challenged. Work a different look because you may never know for sure if the style that you currently have is indeed your true authentic style.
