KCL-IDESIGN, LLC IS CRUSHING: BLUE VELVET & GOLD

KCL-IDESIGN, LLC Mood Board Philosophy: is solely about designing a space that will not only give way to inspiration, as well as inspire, but also become a source of motivation to help build the foundation for a stylish lifestyle.

However, KCL-IDESIGN, LLC is all about color! Moreover, as the Principal Interior Designer (Kimberly C. Lyons), this is my specialty. With that said, today it is all about CRUSHING with Blue Velvet & Gold. These two colors are cohesive, and a match that will complement and dominate within any space. So, if the talk is about creating a perfect color palette combination that gives way to a definite WOW Factor; this is it!

MUST HAVE FURNITURE: CONSOLE TABLES

Okay, I’m in LOL mode because it is so beyond crazy how I am extremely fascinated with furniture design. Also, if you are wondering why I am Laughing Out Loud at myself, it is because I continue to get overly excited when I read about how different pieces of furniture originated and are continually changing from their original origins. So, should I be excited as a designer? Heck yes, because I love all the elements that are required to create and design spaces. However, while getting my bachelor’s degree (BS, Interior Design), it was evident that I became even more fascinated with furniture design. Moreover, two classes kept me inspired from start to finish, which was History of Architecture Interiors & Furniture I and History of Architecture Interiors & Furniture II.

OMG, both classes received my undivided attention because I was interested in every detail and aspect. I dug deep into where different pieces originated from, and the designer behind their creative design(s). Even though there were ample materials provided within my class, I did my research and found the Third Edition, Dictionary of Furniture by Charles Boyce (foreword by Joseph T. Butler). This book is beyond amazing, and it has indeed expanded my knowledge, which is why I can see how specific pieces stand out even more within a room. So, with that said, console tables are the first on my must-have list.

These beauties can add character, interest, display a variety of intricate details, and the list can go on for miles because the uses for console tables are endless. With that said, yes, I display several styled console tables throughout my home. I enjoy displaying unique decorative objects from my travels atop stacked books, over-size table lamps, decorative vases (in different sizes, shapes, and colors), and so much more. I love to present height difference, layering, and a mixture of beautiful objects with contrasting colors, along with varied interest. So, are you ready to become inspired? Check out some fantastic inspiration below featuring must-have furniture - Console Tables.

Knowledgeable Notation: The Console Table sole purpose was designed to be fixed to a wall and supported only by front legs. It was developed in the late 17th century and became very popular throughout the 18th century.
