MORE IS ALWAYS BETTER: DECORATIVE ACCENT PILLOWS

Accent pillows are one of my many weaknesses when it comes to using decorative objects. I get so overly excited every time I see an over-the-top accent pillow. I refuse to live without them tossed throughout my surroundings. OMG, I need them thrown everywhere, and I mean everywhere! And not to mention displaying a variety of different colors, unique patterns, shapes, and sizes (the more significant, the better), along with a mixture of different textures make it so overly exciting! Oh, and I am all smiles while developing this post :-).

However, with me being a casual modern chick, when you enter my home, throw those accent pillows wherever you please and have a seat and enjoy. However, I do have OCD, and since accent pillows are sometimes called "decorative or throw" pillows which are for being functionally placed or (thrown as I like to say) anywhere, my OCD does not kick in, and I do not pitch a HISSY fit. Anything else would be considered inappropriately out of place.

Also, when designing for my clients, accent pillows are a must. Moreover, I do suggest that more is always better. As I have already stated, the combination of different colors, patterns, shapes and sizes, and textures will make any space come alive as well as create a beautiful focal point. So yes, pillows can be a focal point, and this is especially true when grouped making a powerful statement. Understanding the fundamentals of mixing accent pillows is a plus because "clash" is not cute. However, I do like to see a touch of drama if the "clash" is unique!
